Historical fantasy about the school years of a simple village boy named Circum Quadratum Tranquillum. The action takes place during the reign of Gaius Julius Caesar and under the consul Mark Anthony. The sincere and persistent hero meets the leader of the slave uprising Spartacus, who helps him on extraordinary adventures in the catacombs of St. Callistus and in the chambers of the great Caesar. The main goal of the Circum is to get a decent education. For this, he goes through many trials, meets Ptolemy, the brother of the Egyptian queen Cleopatra, other real and fictional characters, makes many discoveries, remaining still the same good and mentally generous person.
