It's the spring of 1972: U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War is in its eighth year and demonstrations against the war are many; New York City is beginning to slide toward bankruptcy; it's been nearly two years since the Beatles broke up and John Lennon and Yoko Ono are establishing themselves as New York residents and artists. John's biggest solo album, Imagine, hit the charts late last year and he continues to record. However, his and Yoko's newest passion is film, the result of which is the establishment of Joko Films, at an allegedly undisclosed location in SoHo.

It is there on the eve of the Watergate break-in in mid June that one of Joko's editors, Stephanie Bradley, is brutally murdered. The cast of characters, both real and fictional, that are drawn into the maelstrom around the crime include the likes of Geraldo Rivera, Allen Klein, Ringo Starr, Murray the K, the several employees of Joko Films and, of course, the world's most famous couple as well.

Conceived by one of those actual employees, Imagine Murder, a first book of a potential series, based within the little-publicized New York City world of John Lennon during the 1970's.
