Kingsley Pearson is the author of Flat 401. The novel won the 2022 Joffe Books Prize, was shortlisted for the Mo Siewcharran Prize and was also longlisted for the 2023 Penguin Michael Joseph Undiscovered Writers Prize in the same year. With the Joffe books and PMJ prizes, Kingsley had to withdraw due to being offered agent representation. Kingsleyworks as a Clinical Psychologist in digital mental health. He wants to tell compelling stories that engage, reward re-reading, are well-written, and speak to people on deeper personal or social-issue levels. He is a mixed-race British gay man, all of which influences his approach to writing: the perspective he takes on it, the issues he wants to address, and the stories he wants to tell.
