While these men made remarkable contributions, the accomplishments of women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) are often overlooked. Beneath the stories of male scientists lie the untold legacies of their forgotten female counterparts.

Why is Hedy Lamarr, a pioneer of wireless technology, not a household name? Why isn't Hypatia of Alexandria, one of the first known female mathematicians, widely celebrated? Ada Lovelace, who created the first algorithm, or Katherine Johnson, whose calculations helped launch humans into space-these brilliant women revolutionized science, yet they remain underrecognized. And why do our biology textbooks credit Watson and Crick for DNA's discovery, ignoring Rosalind Franklin's pivotal contributions?

Driven by frustration over the lack of female representation in STEM history, I wrote this book to shine a light on these extraordinary women.
