Egypt, November 7, 1828
Kalaan Fébus, Count of Croz, unexpectedly finds himself on the shores of the ancient city of Tell el-Amarna alongside none other than the renowned scholar Jean-François Champollion. For the young nobleman, this encounter feels like divine providence, for only Champollion can decipher the hieroglyphs carved into the entrance of a mysterious structure Kalaan has just unearthed.
But is it truly providence or a trap?
Upon stepping inside the strange edifice, Kalaan is struck by a powerful curse... an ancient punishment from the gods of old. Now, there is only one path left to break the spell. He must return to his homeland of Brittany and seek out the Guardian of the Stones.
