Madeline, known to her friends and family as Mad, secretly wished for free time from work and helping her sister who was a single parent. While watching her niece play in the pool, she inadvertently gets that wish granted but gets scared out of her wits in the process. Granting the lifeguard a thank you kiss after he saves her niece, she gets the shock of her life when he passionately deepens the kiss. Working at the pool, Ed is being groomed to take over his father's company. Responsibilities and watching his father's numerous divorces have made him hesitate to approach women. When she kisses him, everything shifts into place. Now, he must woo her while fighting his own yearning to chase.
