You can run, but you can't hide
It's the end of November and bitterly cold in the Lake District. A frozen decomposed body is found in a peat ditch up on Bampton Common high above Haweswater reservoir. DI Kelly Porter is highly puzzled by the arrows found around the body - not your average murder weapon.
By digging into missing persons reports from across the country, Kelly is able to trace a victim. However, this brings more questions than answers when links to other cases come to light. The area has always been a favourite with hunters - could they have turned to human prey? Kelly skirts closer to the truth, but a betrayal wounds her deeply and she needs all the support she can get to defend her team and uncover some sinister secrets.
