Chip Bergh served as President and CEO of Levi Strauss & Co. from 2011 to 2024, becoming the twelfth CEO in the company's 173-year history. During his tenure, the company experienced a dramatic turnaround marked by sustained profitable growth and a 5x increase in market cap. A self-declared "brand guy," Bergh has led many iconic brands during his 45-year career, including Folgers, Swiffer, and Gillette. He began his career as a US Army officer, and in April 2019 was named one of the World's 50 Greatest Leaders by Fortune magazine. He now teaches at Harvard Business School.
