Chantal Lyons is a naturalist, conservationist and science communicator. Her Masters in environmental social science took her to the Forest of Dean and led to the story of the UK's biggest accidental experiment in rewilding, brought to light in her first book, Groundbreakers: The Return of Britain's Wild Boar. The book won the BES Marsh Ecology Book of the Year Award and was shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize for Conservation. Lyons works with fishers to protect marine megafauna from bycatch and currently lives in Cheltenham.
