Mx. Asher (they/them) is a Rhode Island based spoken word artist and memoirist known for vulnerable storytelling exploring themes of community, current events, love, and power. Asher's work reconciles their lived experience as a neurodivergent, transgender sexual assault survivor and former sex worker with their twenty-year career in government, elections, and advocacy.Mx. Asher was voted Motif Magazine's 2026 Favorite Personal Storyteller and runner-up in social justice spoken word. Asher's work has been published in Writers Resist, Discretionary Love, new words press - citizen trans* {project}: voices in trump america, and Unlikely Stories. They have performed at events such as PRONK!, Trans Day of Visibility, Warren Folks Fest, and more.
