Dr Javad Saien graduated with a PhD in chemical engineering from Bradford University. He is currently full Professor of Chemical Engineering and the corresponding author of 140 publications in journals as well as two books on industrial chemistry and photochemical treatment of wastewaters, and three book chapters including a chapter on Persulfate-Based Oxidation Processes in Environmental Remediation. His special research areas of interest are photochemical advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), design of efficient photoreactors and utilizing novel photocatalysts for industrial wastewater treatment.
Dr Farnaz Jafari graduated with a PhD in applied chemistry from Bu-Ali Sina University. She is currently a research assistant and postdoctoral researcher studying environmental engineering at the Bu-Ali Sina University where she teaches courses on water quality control, water treatment and petroleum refining principles. Her research interests are in the fields of (i) advanced oxidation technologies for water treatment, (ii) drinking water treatment and purification, (iii) synthesis and utilization of novel photocatalysts, (iv) adsorption phenomena on adsorbent for pollutant removal from water, (v) liquid-liquid extraction for purification of petroleum products.
Dr Mingshan Zhu has published 110 papers in peer-reviewed journals including 85 papers as the first author or corresponding author. His research focuses on advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), and photocatalysis for energy and environmental applications. Dr Zhu graduated with doctorate degree from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science (ICCAS). After that, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Toronto in Canada (2014-2015) and as a JSPS at Osaka University in Japan (2015-2017). In 2018, he joined the School of Environment, Jinan University (Guangzhou, China) as a full professor.
